Volunteers Opportunities
Production Assistants
- Helping to set up and break down event spaces, including arranging furniture, setting up technology, and ensuring all necessary equipment is in place.
- Assisting with the coordination of vendor deliveries and managing on-site logistics.
- Providing support to speakers, panelists, and other VIPs during the event.
- Troubleshooting any issues that arise and working quickly to find solutions.
- Ensuring the smooth flow of the event program and maintaining tight coordination with the event management team. This role is perfect for organized, detail-oriented individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in event production or operations is a plus, but a willingness to learn and a strong work ethic are the most important qualities.
Event Operations
- Greeting attendees at the event entrance, checking tickets or registrations, and directing them to the appropriate areas.
- Monitoring the flow of people entering and exiting the event space to ensure safety and compliance with capacity limits.
- Assisting with the seating arrangements for our networking dinners, ensuring that guests are seated according to their preferences and that the tables are balanced.
- Providing information to attendees about the event schedule, activities, and other relevant details.
- Helping to maintain the overall order and organization of the event space.
Social Media
- Developing a content calendar to ensure a consistent and strategic social media presence for the Fusion Fashion Tech Society.
- Crafting engaging posts, stories, and other content that showcase our events, initiatives, and the work of our members.
- Monitoring and responding to comments, messages, and inquiries from our followers in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborating with the marketing and communications team to align social media content with the Society's overall brand and messaging.
- Analyzing social media metrics to track the performance of our posts and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Staying up-to-date with the latest social media trends and best practices to ensure our content is effective and relevant. This role is perfect for individuals with a passion for social media, strong writing and creative skills, and a keen eye for visual design. Prior experience in social media management or digital marketing is highly desirable, but a willingness to learn and experiment is more important.
